Nepal 11 nights: 17th – 28th March 2028
Optional Special Extension, 3 nights Bhutan Tour: 28th – 31st March 2028

Join me for a very special yoga retreat in Nepal, carefully designed to combine yoga, wildlife,Nepal, Chitwan Park - Rhinos by lake Yoga, Wildlife and Wellness Retreat in Nepal culture and relaxation in one of the most beautiful and welcoming countries in the world.

This isn’t a retreat about rushing from one famous attraction to the next. It’s about experiencing the real Nepal at a gentle pace, taking time to connect with nature, local people and yourself. Together we’ll explore ancient monasteries, search for wildlife in the jungles of Chitwan, visit traditional villages, enjoy spectacular Himalayan scenery and discover why Nepal captures so many hearts.

Begin Your Journey
Our journey begins in Kathmandu, where colourful prayer flags flutter above ancient temples and the peaceful atmosphere of Boudha provides a gentle introduction to Nepal. We’ll visit the beautiful Kopan Monastery and Nunnery before spending time at the magnificent Boudhanath Stupa, one of the most important Buddhist sites in the world and a place that never fails to leave a lasting impression.

Wildlife and Local Community
From Kathmandu we’ll take a short flight to the lush lowlands of Chitwan, where we’ll spend four nights surrounded by nature at the wonderful Sapana Village Lodge. Here, life slowsElephant Sanctuary at Sapana Lodge, Chitwan down. We’ll venture into Chitwan National Park on a jeep safari in search of the famous one-horned rhinoceros, crocodiles, deer and an astonishing variety of birdlife. A peaceful canoe trip along the Rapti River offers another perspective on this remarkable landscape, while birdwatching and gentle walks reveal the quieter side of the jungle.

We’ll also experience another side of Nepal through time spent with local communities, learning about traditional village life and enjoying the vibrant culture of the indigenous Tharu people. One evening we’ll be treated to a colourful Tharu dance performance, and during our stay we’ll visit rescued elephants living in a more natural environment, where we’ll have the opportunity to help wash these gentle giants. For many guests, this becomes one of the most memorable experiences of the retreat.

Himalayan Retreat
The second half of our journey takes us to beautiful Pokhara, nestled beneath the towering Annapurna range. Staying for five nights at the KGH Waterfront Resort, we’ll enjoy the perfect balance of exploration and relaxation. We’ll visit peaceful temples, a Tibetan Settlement, take a gentle boat trip on tranquil Begnas Lake, visit a traditional village and an organic farm, and gain an insight into local beekeeping at the Begnas Beehive Industry (subject to availability).Phewa Lake, Pokhara

There will also be plenty of time simply to enjoy being there. Relax beside the swimming pool, treat yourself to a massage or spa treatment, browse the lakeside shops, enjoy a quiet walk or simply sit with a cup of tea and gaze towards the Himalayas.

Yoga Sessions
Throughout the retreat we’ll practice yoga up to twice a day, 8-9am and 6-7pm, except when we’re travelling or to accommodate trips. Suitable for all abilities, the sessions are designed to leave you feeling comfortable, relaxed and more connected, complementing everything else we experience during our time in Nepal.
